Geospatial Surveyor Role
The Geospatial Surveyor will play a pivotal role in the success of our upcoming brownfields hard-rock mining project.
This position reports to the Project Manager and is responsible for surveying the mining area to support mine planning and production activity.
* Conduct surveys for stockpile volumes, end-of-month pickups, ore block layouts, mining as-builts, waste dump construction, and cavity monitoring, as well as producing detailed plans and maps.
* Timely pickups and prepare reports for all excavations.
* Install and maintain survey control points across pits, ramps, crests, and toes.
* Accurately enter survey data into relevant systems and databases.
* Produce required documentation, including digging notes, drill and development plans, and traffic/emergency maps.
* Review and submit survey reports.
* Maintain survey accuracy and compliance through regular control checks and updates.
About You:
* Bachelor's degree in geospatial science or related field.
* Experience in an open pit mining environment.
* Proven leadership and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to act as a positive example to the workforce.
* Valid driver's license.
