About the role

The Clare Moore Building (CMB) is a 54‐bed adult mental health inpatient unit providing care to consumers aged 18–64 years. The unit comprises one Intensive Care Area (ICA) and three Recovery Care Areas (RCAs). Following a recent restructure of the unit, our Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) team has been expanded. This investment has reduced individual clinical and consumer workloads, creating greater capacity for leadership, mentorship, and staff development, while supporting the delivery of high quality, patient centred care and improved clinical outcomes.

The ANUM is a valued member of the multidisciplinary team and provides quality client‐focused care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of clinical interventions ensuring a holistic approach to the client, their family and carers.

The ANUM practices at an advanced level with a critical approach to clinical care that encompasses an increased breadth of knowledge, skill and clinical judgment. An understanding of the legal and ethical responsibilities under relevant legislation, as well as current evidence‐based practice models is essential. The ANUM plays a vital role in both the operational and clinical management of the unit.

About you

To be successful in this role, you require:

* A current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse with postgraduate qualifications in Mental Health Nursing
* Extensive clinical experience and expertise in mental health nursing, with a minimum of 3 years in a mental health inpatient setting
* Experience as a Nurse in Charge/ANUM is desirable
* A comprehensive understanding of mental health nursing models of care and the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022
* The willingness and availability to work a rotating roster across seven days of the week, including morning, afternoon and night shifts.

What you'll bring

You're resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart. Most importantly, you are committed to delivering exceptional patient‐centred care.

To thrive in this role, you will have:

* Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve.
* A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient centred care.
* The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:

* A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
* Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
