This is a great opportunity for qualified teachers who enjoy swimming, love working with children, and want to teach the skills of swimming and the value of water safety.
The Role
Ascot Vale Leisure Centre (AVLC) is looking for energetic, confident, and motivated people to join our Swim School team.
Swim School Instructor delivers swimming lessons to a wide variety of ages and abilities. Successful applicants will be effective communicators who demonstrate a strong attention to detail.
You will possess strong time management and organisational skills, as well as the ability to work well in a team environment with minimal supervision. Relevant industry qualifications are essential.
Multiple casual positions available. You must be available to work during school hours to teach school groups.
Skills & Attributes
* Energetic, innovative and decisive teaching style
* Excellent verbal communication skills
* Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends and must be empathetic to the needs of the classes
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a strong and valuable team
Qualifications
* Current First Aid (Level 2) & Current CPR Certificate
* Working With Children Check (or equivalent) & National Police Check
* Current AUSTSWIM Certificate – or equivalent
