GPS Excavator Operators ( Northern Suburbs )
JDM Earthworks is an excavation/civil contractor that has been operating across Melbourne for 30 years.
We are currently seeking experienced and motivated excavator operators to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Operating earth moving equipment on various projects around Melbourne including subdivisions, drainage, road/infrastructure and bulk earthworks
- Final trim quality with a good eye for detail and be able to finish work to a high level
- Working safely as part of a team and/or individually
- Reporting to management daily
- Completing Daily Pre-Start checks
- Keeping machines in top condition and well-greased
Qualifications
- At least 3 years land development, subdivision and roadwork/infrastructure experience operating excavators
- Experience working with trucks
- Must have experience in GPS; must have experience with multiple GPS brands including Trimble, Leica, and Topcon systems
- Drainage experience
- Construction induction card (White/Red card) must be current and valid
- Current excavator and dozer plant licences
- Current Australian driver’s license and personal transport
- A can-do attitude, correct work ethic and reliability
- Experience on other plant is preferable
- Have a basic mechanical understanding of relevant mobile equipment
- Be able to finish work to a high level
