Your new role
As a Senior Sales Yard Officer, you will assist the sales yard Manager with the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the facility. You will play a key role in coordinating livestock handling, ensuring compliance with animal welfare standards, and maintaining accurate operational records. The position involves stakeholder engagement with agents, vendors and transport operators, as well as supporting safety, risk, and asset management functions. You may also be required to step into a leadership capacity in the absence of the Manager and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
What you'll need to succeed
* Minimum Queensland C Class driver's licence
* Strong competency in Microsoft Office Suite
* Demonstrated experience in livestock operations and sale yard functions
* Proven ability to work within a team and engage effectively with stakeholders
* Experience using software systems for sale yard or operational management
* Solid understanding of livestock handling, welfare and biosecurity practices
