About the Role
The Ten Tops assistant plays a vital role in ensuring their section or store is well-stocked, merchandised, and presented to maximize sales while providing exceptional customer service at all times. This includes operating the register if required, showcasing skills across all areas within a small team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain a strong safety culture by utilizing equipment such as carton cutters, ladders, and trolleys correctly.
2. Adhere to departmental procedures as per the Ten Tops standard.
3. Effective communication is essential; ask questions if unsure.
4. Deliver high-quality customer service to valued clients efficiently and accurately.
5. Ensure a superior level of merchandising and presentation standards in your work area consistently.
6. Manage stock levels, replenish, and rotate shelves and displays, with rotation being paramount.
7. Maintain a tidy working area by keeping trolleys, ladders, and boxes organized to prevent trip hazards and impede customer flow.
8. Address liquid spills immediately by sectioning off and cleaning up.
9. Operate and balance the cash register.
10. Upkeep personal presentation and uniform standards at a high level.
11. Create a happy workplace environment where colleagues enjoy coming to work.
12. Follow instructions from managers at all times.
13. Assist with product selection when required.
14. Perform cleaning duties as necessary.
