Job Overview
The Director Governance/Administration role is a key leadership position within the Ministerial and Executive Coordination and Communication Division (MECC). Reporting to an Assistant Secretary, you will contribute to the delivery of Ministerial, whole-of-government and Defence objectives.
Maintaining effective governance and administration practices is crucial for the success of MECC. As a Director Governance/Administration, you will be responsible for overseeing staff, managing resources, setting priorities and delivering strategic advice to support organisational objectives.
Responsibilities
* Possess strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to manage teams, foster positive culture and facilitate cooperation to achieve organisational outcomes.
* Exercise strong strategic judgment, providing expert and timely advice to enable senior decision-making.
* Be a strong communicator, with a demonstrated ability to translate information in a clear and concise manner.
* Develop positive, collaborative working relationships across stakeholders in complex environments.
* Have initiative, flexibility and demonstrated capacity to solve problems under pressure.
Requirements
