The ACT Insurance Authority, an ACT Government Statutory Authority, is seeking an Assistant Director, Financial Services. This position requires a finance professional with experience delivering comprehensive financial services and leading teams.

Provide full-range financial support services, including:

• Financial and management reporting
• Internal and external budgeting
• Costing
• Cash management
• Financial management information system administration
• Accounts payable and accounts receivable processing

Lead and assist finance team members, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of outputs and continuous improvement of processes.

Required:

• Relevant accounting and finance experience
• Strong technical and analytical skills
• Leadership and communication skills (oral, written, interpersonal, negotiation)
• Highly organized with attention to detail

Highly desirable:

• Tertiary qualification in accounting/finance
• Membership or progress towards accreditation from a peak Australian accounting body such as CPA or CA
• Experience or knowledge of the insurance industry
• Current ACT Government CMTEDD issued Personnel Vetting Program certificate (Baseline clearance equivalent) or ability to obtain one
