Do you know how to turn potential into real outcomes, even when the barriers are complex?

The Cowboys Community Foundation is seeking a high-performing Program Mentor to join our Dream, Believe, Achieve (DBA) program, supporting participants to gain skills, qualifications, and meaningful employment outcomes.

This is a role for someone who thrives on accountability, builds strong relationships, and knows how to get results.

About Us

The Cowboys Community Foundation is the charity arm of the Cowboys Group, delivering outcome-driven programs that remove barriers and create access to education, training and employment across North Queensland.

Dream, Believe, Achieve is our flagship employment pathway program, combining accredited training, mentoring, and real-world work experience to support participants into sustainable employment or further study.

About the Role

This is not a passive mentoring role.

You will work closely with participants throughout their journey, supporting them to overcome barriers, stay engaged in training, and transition into employment or further pathways.

You will:

* Drive outcomes: support participants from engagement through to completion and employment, maintaining a strong focus on measurable results.
* Provide targeted mentoring: deliver consistent, structured support that addresses individual barriers and builds confidence, capability, and accountability.
* Build employer pathways: actively engage with employers and industry to create real job opportunities and meaningful work placements.
* Coordinate wrap around support: work with training providers and support services to ensure participants stay on track and complete their qualifications.
* Deliver impactful sessions: facilitate workshops that build work readiness, life skills, and mindset for success.
* Monitor and report progress: track participant outcomes, identify risks early, and adapt your approach to keep participants moving forward.

Essential Skills & Experience

* Demonstrated experience in mentoring, case management, employment services, or similar outcomes-focused role
* Proven ability to support individuals into employment, training completion, or further pathways
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build relationships across employers, training providers, and community organisations
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple participants, priorities, and deadlines
* Strong digital capability, including Microsoft Office and data tracking/reporting

Key Attributes

* Outcome-focused: you measure success by results, not just activity
* Resilient and proactive: you stay the course and adapt when things don’t go to plan
* Authentic and relatable: you build trust quickly and work effectively with diverse participants
* Culturally aware: you understand and respect the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
* Solution-oriented: you identify barriers early and take action to overcome them

Why Join Us?

This is more than a job; it’s an opportunity to be part of something that creates real change.

You will:

* Play a direct role in helping people secure employment and build sustainable futures
* Work within a high-performing, purpose-driven team
* Be part of a program with strong industry connections and proven outcomes
