We are currently seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Disability Support Workers to provide in-home and community-based support to our clients.
About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will support individuals to live independently in their own homes. This may include assistance with:
* Personal care (showering, dressing, grooming)
* Domestic tasks (meal preparation, cleaning, laundry)
* Medication assistance
* Support with community access and social engagement
* Transport to appointments or outings
* Implementing behavior support plans where required
About You
We are looking for people who are:
* Person-centred and empathetic in their approach
* Reliable and able to work independently
* Great communicators with strong interpersonal skills
* Committed to upholding the rights, dignity, and choices of people with disabilities
Essential Requirements
* Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Current Working with Children Check
* First Aid and CPR certification
* Administration of Medication
* Manual Handling
* Police Check
* Identification Documentation
* Driver’s license and reliable, insured vehicle
* Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent (or working towards)
* COVID-19 vaccinations as per government guidelines
Desirable
* Experience in disability, aged care, or community services
* Training in manual handling, medication assistance, or behavior support
* Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays – 2-to-4-hour short shifts
