Curis Recruitment is excited to partner with a fantastic Aboriginal Health Service based in the Northern Territory to help them find an experienced Remote Area Nurse (Men's Health) to join their team.
Overview
Working for an independent Aboriginal Community-Controlled Health Service, you will contribute to high-quality health care across East Arnhem and Yolŋu communities. You will mentor students and Aboriginal Health Practitioners (AHPs), support AHPs as the primary health carers within the community, and work with the wider team to build stronger communities.
Details
* 4-12 week agency contract
* $95 per hour Monday - Friday day (6.30am to 6.30pm)
* $105 per hour Monday - Saturday afterhours (after 6.30pm Monday to Friday or Saturday)
* $183 per hour on a Sunday
* + other penalties apply for overtime, on call etc.
* Fully furnished housing provided
* Return travel within Australia provided
* Comprehensive support provided throughout your contract, from our dedicated recruitment team
* $1000 starting bonus
Your Role
You will be working for an independent Aboriginal Community-Controlled Health Service who are committed to securing quality health care services across East Arnhem and enabling Yolŋu powered community health and wellbeing. You will mentor students and Aboriginal Health Practitioners (AHPs), support AHPs as the primary health carers within the community, and work to build stronger communities together with the wider team.
They strive to provide culturally appropriate, comprehensive primary healthcare to over 6,000 remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander residents across 3 East Arnhem wards. You will be working in the East Arnhem Land part of the Northern Territory.
Essential Criteria
* AHPRA registration with no restrictions
* REC, MEC, ALS, NT ISTAT certificate
* Current Manual Driver's License
* At least 3 years of post-graduate experience with advanced clinical skills and competencies applicable to remote settings (including the ability to triage, work independently, and participate in afterhours emergency calls and first response)
* Willing to travel in small charter planes, and the ability to drive a 4WD will be looked upon favourably
* Must have full Australian working rights (i.e., Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, a valid Working Visa, or New Zealand Citizenship)
