We are seeking ACEM trainees on a full-time or part-time basis for training positions in Townsville with immediate start or for Semester 1, 2026.
Opportunities
* PEHA Townsville QLD, Australia — Full time
* STP-funded Advanced Registrar training position in a Private ED in the heart of the Gold Coast (Pindara Private, Benowa). This is a Tier 3 registrar position (not accredited for T4 training; no junior Doctor supervision).
* Next to no bed block and minimal ramping with a senior, well-established staff. 7 staggered shifts per day with FACEM or senior CMO supervision. Applicants expected to be capable of independent practice with senior supervision.
* Central Adelaide Local Health Network, Royal Adelaide Hospital — Salary MDP-2 ($89,253 - $144,291 p.a. + Superannuation and Salary Sacrifice Benefits). Full-time temporary 12-month training program starting 2/2/26 to 31/1/27, with a 3-year contract aligned with the Salaried Medical Officers Enterprise Agreement. End of training includes placement support within SA Health for remainder of contract.
* Royal Adelaide Hospital in SA is a large accredited teaching hospital offering 6-month rotations in Clinical Toxicology and Emergency Medicine, with inpatient Toxicology services.

* Epworth Healthcare (Richmond, VIC) — Part-time opportunities; Emergency Registrars and Stage 2-4 ACEM trainees for Emergency Department rotations, with flexible contracts from 6 months to 2 years. Includes ultrasound and other emergency medicine exposure; rotations may include non-emergency areas.
* Sydney Adventist Hospital (SAN) — North Shore, Sydney: Emergency Registrars (Stage 2-4 ACEM trainees). Dynamic ED team with opportunities to consolidate and expand clinical and procedural skills in a well-supervised environment. Flexible contracts from 6 months to 2 years; rotations offered beyond emergency include ultrasound and other experiences.
Responsibilities & Expectations
* Assess and manage emergency department presentations under supervision, with the ability to independently assess and manage multiple patients as appropriate to level of training.
* Prioritize clinical decisions for multiple patients and communicate clearly with patients and colleagues.
* Lead by example, support junior staff, and actively participate in departmental teaching to further clinical knowledge and skills.
* Engage in self-directed learning, reflective practice, and participate in ongoing education and training programs.
Qualifications
* ACEM trainee status or equivalent; eligible for positions described (Townsville, Gold Coast, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney postings).
* Ability to work in a high-volume emergency department with appropriate supervision as per role and training stage.
