Job Overview
As a Safe at Home - Family Safety Advocate, you will provide support to women and children experiencing family and domestic violence to remain safely in their home, or a home of their choice. The role involves safety planning, case management, advocacy, and connecting clients with support services to promote safety, stability, and wellbeing. Working within a trauma‐informed and client centred framework, you will support people to make informed choices while advocating for their rights and safety.
Responsibilities
- Safety planning for clients.
- Case management and advocacy.
- Connecting clients with support services.
- Promoting client safety, stability, and wellbeing.
- Support clients in making informed choices while advocating for their rights and safety.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills.
- Empathy, professionalism, and respect for diverse communities.
- Current driver's licence.
- Police clearance.
- Working with children check, or willingness to obtain.
Working Hours
60+ hours a fortnight (or full-time)
