Base pay range

A$92,387.00/yr - A$116,169.00/yr


ASD 5 Administration Officer

As an ASD 5 Administration Officer within ASD, you will play a vital role in driving the delivery of operational and business outcomes for ASD and will be accountable for making independent decisions relating to your area of responsibility and expertise.

You will primarily perform a range of procedural, clerical, administrative and business support duties, aiding ASD to achieve its mission and service priorities. This will largely include the requirement to coordinate and contribute to supervisor/team deliverables and to provide advice and assistance to all relevant internal and external stakeholders.


Responsibilities

* Apply skills, knowledge and experience to perform complex tasks and activities, working to agreed priorities and outcomes in order to meet business objectives for ASD.
* Accountable to respond to complex operational, procedural, administrative and business support related enquiries, such as:
* People Services/Human Resources activities
* Purchasing/Financial/Budgets
* Written submissions, briefs, reports, minutes and other correspondence for ASD
* System operation and administration
* Correspondence and scheduling management
* Task tracking, analysis and reporting
* Actively seek to identify, learn and apply relevant legislation, security practices and procedures/policies to all work tasks.
* Build and sustain relationships with all relevant stakeholders, communicating and engaging collaboratively, with active participation in teamwork and group activities.
* You may be required to be a team coach or supervise a team and be accountable to set work priorities, allocate work, and manage workflows and performance.


ASD 6 Administration Officer

As an ASD 6 Administration Officer within ASD, you will be accountable under broad direction to perform and achieve complex procedural, operational, administrative and business outcomes for ASD and ensure you have knowledge of, and compliance with, all legislation and government frameworks applicable to ASD.


Responsibilities

* Required to demonstrate initiative and judgement with progressing work for outcomes and be able to resolve problems in a timely manner, implementing relevant and alternative courses of action as needed.
* Whilst working independently and with reasonable autonomy, perform a range of procedural, clerical, administrative and business support duties, including:
* People Services/Human Resources activities
* Purchasing/Financial/Budgets
* Written submissions, briefs, reports, minutes and other correspondence for ASD
* System operation and administration
* Correspondence and scheduling management
* Task tracking, analysis and reporting
* Demonstrate initiative and judgement to successfully deliver on complex work and to contribute to the strategic planning, project management and policy/process development.
* A considerable level of stakeholder engagement and negotiation will be required, liaising to identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholders' needs and expectations to achieve work unit and Directorate outcomes.
* You may be required to manage a team, building their capability through coaching, feedback and developing the quality of work undertaken.

* Demonstration of applying legislation and policy to operational and governmental compliance contexts would be highly regarded.
