About the Role
Working within the SLHD Drug Health Service, the role emphasizes positive engagement with clinical teams and patients in the provision of security services for the protection of people, property and crime prevention. It includes proactive steps in the early identification and prevention of incidents.
This is a Category A position. To be employed by NSW Health you are required to provide evidence of vaccination to comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy (PD2024_015).
Responsibilities
Security staff members allocated to the Opioid Treatment Programs provide security to clients, visitors and staff within the Drug Health Services, performing routine security duties. They form part of the clinical team, with a special emphasis on customer service and critical incident response.
Qualifications
* Must hold a NSW Security Licence 1A, current relevant First Aid Qualification and a current NSW Driver's Licence (P1 or P2 acceptable).
* Ability to work independently, completing all patrols and any other security work during the shift.
* Experience in communicating and responding to challenging and aggressive situations, demonstrating empathy, integrity and resilience under various circumstances.
