About the Role
We’re on the lookout for an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing team and help shape the next wave of renewable and infrastructure projects across Australia. With multiple projects in the pipeline, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading the design and development of complex electrical systems, providing technical expertise from concept through to commissioning, and ensuring every project meets our high Monford standards.
What you’ll be doing is evolving as a leader in design and development of electrical systems for large-scale construction and renewable projects, overseeing all aspects of electrical design from concept and budgeting to detailed design and construction support, collaborating with project teams to ensure technical compliance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, reviewing and verifying electrical design drawings, calculations, and specifications to maintain QA/QC standards, staying ahead of emerging technologies and best practices, and supporting HSEQ compliance while identifying opportunities to improve safety, design integrity, and delivery performance, highlighting cost-saving initiatives and design improvements that enhance project outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of electrical systems for large-scale construction and renewable projects.
- Oversee all aspects of electrical design — from concept and budgeting to detailed design and construction support.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure technical compliance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
- Review and verify electrical design drawings, calculations, and specifications to maintain QA/QC standards.
- Stay ahead of emerging technologies and best practices, bringing innovation and continuous improvement to every project.
- Support HSEQ compliance and proactively identify opportunities to improve safety, design integrity, and delivery performance.
- Highlight cost-saving initiatives and design improvements that enhance overall project outcomes.

About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (essential).
- 10+ years’ experience in electrical design and engineering within the construction or energy sectors.
- Solid understanding of Australian standards, HSEQ compliance, and design methodologies.
- Skilled in reading, interpreting, and developing complex engineering drawings.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to rapid-moving environments.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a collaborative mindset.
