Job Description
The role of an Assistant Director within the Industry Engagement team involves managing Defence Industry Advisers at the state/territory level to meet key objectives.
* Allocate referrals and manage requests for approvals for DIAs to attend industry events/engagements.
* Approve timesheets and expenses.
* Coordinate stakeholder engagement at the state/territory level, including government agencies, industry associations, tertiary institutions, and other key stakeholders.
You will build and sustain relationships with a network of key personnel internally and externally to achieve broader strategic objectives.
In addition, you will coordinate service delivery within state/territory jurisdiction, reviewing performance, identifying opportunities for improvement, and preparing business briefs and correspondence as tasked.
Reporting information of interest to ODIS and Defence senior management is also a critical aspect of this role, requiring objective analysis, accurate conclusions based on evidence, and recognition of links between interconnected issues.
