Meander Valley Council is looking for motivated individuals to join our Works Department as Works Officers. We have multiple positions available, each offering a chance to contribute meaningfully to our community.
About the Positions
We're hiring for two key functions:
Tractor Operator / Labourer (x1)
* Primarily operate tractors for roadside slashing and road shoulder grading
* Perform general labouring tasks
Plant Operators / Labourers (x2)
Engage in a variety of tasks which may include:
* Road maintenance and construction
* Parks and reserves, street furniture maintenance
* Public space cleaning
* Duties vary to match priorities and team needs
* Medium rigid licence is essential

Whether you bring specialised skills or transferrable experience, we have a place for you. Experience in plant operating, civil construction and maintenance, parks and green spaces, or public cleaning is highly valued.
Successful candidates will also hold (or be willing to obtain):
* Construction Industry White Card
* Medium Rigid Licence
* Traffic Management qualifications
* First Aid certification
