About the role The Officer, Ceremonies and Events, is part of the team responsible for the delivery of all graduation ceremonies and other ad hoc events. Graduation ceremonies are high profile University events that are a critical part of university life, requiring delivery of an exceptional student and community experience. The Officer, Ceremonies and Events, is responsible for ensuring operational aspects of this role are implemented in a timely and accurate manner. Reporting to the Senior Coordinator, Ceremonies & Events, this role will be responsible for:
* Responding to student & staff enquiries - determining appropriate escalation
* Collect student information through systems and reports to prepare for graduations, event logistics, online registration, regalia and logistics stock management, guest lists, suppliers and invoices.
* Communicate and liaise with internal (such as the Marketing Unit) and external service providers in the delivery of catering, venues, photography, web and other functions as required for Ceremonies and Events.
* On ceremony days: briefing staff, greeting students and guests, testamur management, preparing the Graduate gowning room and operational delivery during ceremonies.
* Contribute to the analysis and review of operational improvements in collaboration with the team.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have:
* Experience with student enquiries and familiarity with student administration and/or event planning and data entry
* Be naturally organised with high attention to detail;
* Have excellent communication skills – verbal and written;
* Commitment to excellence in customer service;
* Able to work independently and as part of a team in a busy work environment.

* Demonstrated planning and organisation skills, including the ability to balance competing priorities and meet conflicting deadlines

Remuneration & Benefits This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a fixed term basis until the end of February 2027. Base Salary Range: $83,906 to $95,989 pa (HEW 5) This role attracts 17% superannuation in addition to the base salary.
