Pay Rate

Pay Rate $45,247

Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received fromappropriately accredited institutions.

Duties and Responsibilities

Employees in this banded class provide consultation and program/project administration in a specialized or targeted program area of assignment, supporting the university in achieving stated program goals and objectives. Employees may serve as lead consultant, program manager and/or project manager. Work involves developing and maintaining productive collaborative work relationships and assessing and responding to client needs. Employees interpret and apply program policies and practices. Employee provides consultation, counseling, perform program/project administration, conductinformation research and analysis, and market the assigned program. Work may include associated administrative and/or business functions. In these roles, employees may supervise staff. Program areas of assignment may include one or more of the following: fund development, program/facilities coordination and administration, program development, delivery and marketing, pre- or post-grant administration, and small business development.
Contributing: Positions: at this level provide advice, consultation and administrative functions in a program/project of limited scope and complexity within set parameters. They plan, analyze and coordinate daily activities, data management, consultation,marketing, and/or business administrative duties.
Journey: Positions at this level independently provide consultation and program/project administration in a program/project of moderate scope and complexity, with more flexible parameters. They plan, analyze and organize daily activities, data management, consultation and/or counseling, marketing, and/or business administrative duties. They may supervise lower level staff.
Advanced: Positions at this level independently manage a program/project ofconsiderable scope and complexity. They plan, coordinate and implement all aspects ofthe university program within flexible parameters, marketing the program to clients and others, and functioning as the program expert. They supervise lower level staff.

Other Work/Responsibilities

Under direction of the Director and staff consultants, this position prepares and analyzes
business financial statements. Much of the work is technical in nature and requires
attention to detail. Works directly with clients with care/discretion to ensure absolute
confidentiality of client information. Develops accounting statements, including income
statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements, using a spreadsheet softwarepackage. Analyzes financial statements using ratios. This includes determining average industry ratios using library resources. Assists in the preparation of financial packages for presentation to bankers, investors and other interested individuals. Maintains responsibility for the daily fiscal management of the Center's multiple budgets and confidential client records. Develops/provides periodic reporting on program performance to assist in balancing the client case loads among the staff of the RegionalCenter. Compiles and analyzes weekly and monthly operating reports, which provide case management and staff productivity data for the Regional Director and other Center staff. Compiles quarterly statistical reports on client counseling and training required forcompliance with US Small Business Administration grant. These reports include specifics on the center's clients by several parameters, including areas of counseling, race, sex, type of business and veteran status. Generates and maintains check requests, purchase requisitions and travel authorizations. Reconciles monthly center budget statements. Develops new management reports at the request of the Regional Director.
