Core Electronics is a leading online DIY electronics retailer based in Newcastle, operating via core-electronics.com.au.
We are looking for a full-time Support Technician to join our team and help makers bring their electronics projects to life.
This position is ideal for those with a strong technical background and an interest in electronics, makerspaces, and DIY projects.
About the Role
Provide pre- and post-sales technical support to customers via phone, live chat, email, and forums.
Diagnose issues and assist with troubleshooting electronics projects and products.
Manage warranty and returns processes, including technical assessments.
Test and evaluate new products for suitability and performance.
Support electronics manufacturing, assembly, and kitting tasks.
Suggest and capture improvements for our website and support resources.
Requirements
Strong interest and practical experience in electronics and DIY projects.
Ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
Comfortable working directly with customers to resolve technical issues.
No formal qualifications are required, but electronics or related training will be an advantage.
Full-time role – Monday to Friday, 8:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (excluding public holidays).
Based at our office at 40 Aruma Place, Cardiff
