Works closely with: CEO, CPTO, National Account Manager, Customer Success Manager & Product Owner

About Catch-e

Catch-e is the software platform behind some of Australia's leading novated leasing, salary packaging, and fleet management businesses. Our customers run on our backend engine, processing thousands of active vehicle leases through our APIs and integrations into their own branded front‐end environments.

We have been quietly powering this industry for over two decades. Around 50 customer accounts run their operations on Catch‐e today. We are now in a serious growth phase: modernising the platform, deepening customer partnerships, and going after the next wave of customers in a market that is rapidly evolving.

We are a small, focused team based in Keysborough, Victoria. Decisions get made fast. The work matters. There is nowhere to hide and nowhere to coast.

The Role

* We are hiring a Business Development Manager to own the full new business sales cycle at Catch‐e. This is a pure hunter role focused on bringing new customers onto the platform. From first outreach to signed contract, you own it.
* You will not be managing existing accounts (we have a National Account Manager for that) or handling customer success (we have a Customer Success Manager for that). Your job is to find, qualify, demonstrate, and close new logos.
* The novated leasing and salary packaging market in Australia is small, technical, and deeply relationship‐driven. The opportunity to grow our customer base materially is sitting right in front of us. This role is how we go and get it.

What makes this role different

You are not joining a sales floor with 30 other reps and a quota wall. You are the new business function at Catch‐e. You will build the playbook, work directly with the CEO on commercial structure, and have a real shot at growing into a Head of Sales or partnerships role as the company scales.

What You Will Be Doing

This is a hands‐on role. You are not handing things off. You run the cycle end‐to‐end.

* Outbound prospecting. Build and run a targeted outbound engine across novated leasing, salary packaging, and fleet management providers in Australia and New Zealand. List building, sequencing, calls, LinkedIn, the lot.
* Inbound qualification. Handle inbound enquiries the moment they arrive. Qualify properly, book the discovery session, and progress them through the pipeline without dropping the ball.
* Discovery and demo. Run discovery sessions with senior buyers, typically CEOs, COOs, and CFOs. Run first demos yourself. For deeper technical questions, you will pull in Aldo or Matthew Parratt to bridge the gap rather than wing it.
* Full cycle ownership. Manage the entire sales cycle from first conversation to signed contract: discovery, demo, proposal, follow‐up, negotiation, close. No handoffs. No excuses.
* Commercial structuring. Work directly with the CEO on pricing, contract terms, and any non‐standard commercial arrangements. You bring the customer context. We agree the structure together.
* Pipeline discipline. Maintain a clean, current, and honest pipeline in HubSpot. CRM hygiene is non‐negotiable. Every conversation logged the same day. Every deal correctly staged.
* Networking. Get out and meet people. Industry events, customer dinners, partner conversations, LinkedIn. The Australian leasing and packaging market is small and your reputation will travel ahead of you. Make it a good one.
* Market intelligence. Feed back what you are hearing. What are prospects asking for that we do not have? Where are competitors winning or losing? You are our ear on the ground and the product team will rely on what you bring back.

What We Are Looking For

Required

* Proven track record in B2B SaaS sales with full‐cycle ownership, ideally in a mid‐market or enterprise context
* Genuinely strong at outbound. You can build a target list, write a sequence that gets opened, and pick up the phone without hesitation.
* Confident running discovery and demos for senior buyers. Comfortable in a room with a CEO or CFO
* Sharp commercial instincts. You can read a deal, understand the customer's economics, and structure proposals that work for both sides
* Disciplined with CRM and pipeline reporting. We work in HubSpot
* Self‐directed. You do not need a sales floor or a manager standing behind you to stay focused
* Australian‐based with full working rights

Strongly preferred

* Direct industry experience in novated leasing, salary packaging, fleet management, or adjacent automotive fintech. The market is small, technical, and relationship‐driven. Someone with existing context will ramp faster and have warmer first conversations
* Experience selling backend platforms, API products, or infrastructure software. Catch‐e is not a flashy front‐end product. You need to be able to sell the engine that quietly powers other businesses
* An existing network of relationships at target customers (leasing providers, packagers, fleet companies) you can call on from day one

Nice to have

* Experience selling into the New Zealand market alongside Australia
* Background in finance, accounting, or fleet operations that helps you speak the customer's language

What Is In It for You

* Real ownership. You are the new business function. You build the playbook, set the cadence, and define how Catch‐e wins new customers. No legacy process to fight against.
* Direct access to the CEO. Weekly one‐on‐ones already in the calendar. No layers of management between you and the decisions that matter.
* Strong base, real upside. $100,000 base plus superannuation, on‐target earnings $120,000+, uncapped commission tied to new annual contract value signed.
* A company at an inflection point. Catch‐e has been around for over 20 years. We have the platform, the customers, and the credibility. We are now investing seriously in the commercial engine and you will help build it.
* Career trajectory. Strong performance opens up Head of Sales, partnerships, or international expansion paths. There is no ceiling that has already been hit by someone above you.
* A proper team. We do good work, fast. We do not do politics, padding, or busywork. The people here take the work seriously and the people in it just as seriously.

How to Apply

Apply with your CV and a short note (a paragraph is fine) explaining why this role caught your attention and what you would bring to it. Every application is read personally. No formal cover letter required.

We are hiring for fit, not just resume polish. If you have sold into this industry before, even briefly, please mention it. If you have not but think you can win in it anyway, tell us why.
