Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our hospitality team in Christies Beach, South Australia. This full-time role offers a long-term opportunity for a dedicated professional who can consistently deliver high-quality meals while maintaining efficient kitchen operations and strict food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare, cook, and present dishes in line with menu requirements and quality standards
* Plan menus and accurately estimate food and labour costs
* Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure consistency and efficiency
* Maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace health and safety standards
* Supervise, train, and support kitchen staff as required
* Manage stock control, ordering, and proper storage of ingredients
* Reduce food wastage and maintain effective cost control practices
Skills and Experience Required
* Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or equivalent
* Minimum 3 years of relevant full-time experience as a Chef
* Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety regulations
* Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced work environment
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Salary and Employment Conditions
* Competitive salary of AUD $80,000 + superannuation, in accordance with Australian workplace laws
