Our client is a specialist animal health company with its core business in sheep and cattle products, veterinary pharmaceuticals and vaccines, a wide range of pet care products for dogs and cats, plus a broad range of products for horses. **Role**
Due to their ongoing significant expansion, there is now an outstanding and rare opportunity for a passionate sales professional to join their Livestock team for the central region of Victoria, based in or around Ballarat. The main purpose of this role is to ensure the achievement of the sales budget and the development of the area's performance and the ability to adapt to market trends.
**Responsibilities**
- Achieve the gross sales budget for the year
- Optimise sales and profits through the implementation of approved marketing plans and campaigns
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key distributors, opinion leaders, rural retailers and end users
- Assist in the development and implementation of sales strategies and marketing plans for the area
- Strategic area planning delivering quality and quantity of customer calls
- Display knowledge regarding the products, industry and competitor offerings
**Requirements**:
- A proven track record in animal health or rural industries sales is essential
- The ability to combine technical selling with business sense and develop rapport with rural resellers and livestock producers
- Demonstrate exceptional communication, organization, presentation, negotiation and planning skills
- Tertiary qualifications in an agribusiness or technical discipline will be highly regarded
- A current driver's license and a willingness to travel throughout the territory on a regular basis are essential
**Location & Remuneration**
This role is located in or around Ballarat in central Victoria. Remuneration is good (salary, 12.5% super, car, laptop, phone, insurance) with the potential of an outstanding performance bonus. The company offers significant ongoing learning opportunities.
