Description
The Staff Specialist will perform clinical services for inpatients admitted under the general medicine service, and participate in the bed allocation process and management of transfer of care and patient flow according to patient need and the Hospital's requirements.
* You\'ll provide specialist consultation within your field, including provision of outpatient services.
* Participate in after-hours services and rosters in general medicine at CMN.
* Provide clinical leadership to junior colleagues by ensuring a high standard of patient care which conforms to best practice and is evidence based.
* Demonstrate a commitment to equity of health care delivery.
Applicants for this role must hold AHRPA registration and unrestricted Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. This role is not suitable for overseas trained physicians requiring supervision.
* A Primary Medical Degree registrable with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or other specialist recognition as provided for the NSW (Non-Declared) AHO Staff Specialist Agreement or the Health Insurance Act 1973.
* Demonstrated experience and qualification(s) in General and Acute Care Medicine, and a commitment to Outreach programs delivering health care to rural or remote settings.
* Demonstrated capacity for clinical leadership, a commitment to undergraduate and post-graduate teaching in medicine, nursing and allied health and willingness to participate in clinical research.
