The role provides exciting, rewarding, and varied experiences and opportunities unique to this region.Positions are available across multiple clinical areas, including:Critical Care (ICU/ED/CCU)Medical (General/Rehab/Geriatric/Cancer Services/HITH)Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs servicesMidwifery (all areas)Neonatal and PaediatricsOutpatientsPerioperative (Anaesthetics/Instrument/Circulating/PACU)Renal (all areas)Surgical (General/Orthopaedic)Minimum Experience: Applicants must have at least 12 months (approximately 1664-1976 hours) of relevant clinical practice.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesProvide nursing and midwifery care as part of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring delivery of contemporary, culturally sensitive care.Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing/midwifery care for allocated clients.Work within the scope of practice and adhere to relevant legislation, policies, procedures, and standards.Collaborate effectively within the multidisciplinary team.Maintain a safe, culturally appropriate, and psychosocial environment for clients and staff, modifying practices as needed.Demonstrate NT health values: safe, responsive, kind, in all interactions.Promote a positive workplace culture through role modeling.Follow quality standards and WHS policies to ensure safe, high-quality services.Willingness to work shifts and be redeployed across clinical areas as needed.Selection CriteriaEssential:Current registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.Ability to coordinate client care resulting in positive clinical outcomes.Effective communication and interpersonal skills within a multidisciplinary team.Understanding of social and cultural factors affecting healthcare provision.Knowledge of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) principles in healthcare.
