As the Head of Facilities & Capital Projects you will manage a team of 24 with x2 direct reports over 100+ schools and be responsible for development of best practice asset lifecycle management to ensure ongoing operational and cost efficiency across hard FM services including plant, buildings, and landscaping in accordance with the relevant legislative and statutory requirements.
**Key Responsibilities for the Head of Facilities & Capital Projects**:
- Work closely with the Project Delivery Supervisor in the assessment, prioritisation and coordination of Major and Minor Capital works for the optimal efficient and safe delivery of Capital works.
- Maintain an understanding of Work Health and Safety and ensure it is reflected in all works.
- Lead the Maintenance and Minor Capital Works delivery teams in communication with their allocated schools to ensure all key stakeholders are abreast of proposed and ongoing works.
- Investigate and assess the benefits and provide recommendations for asset management system improvement, with aim of continuously delivering best practice of a connected portfolio-wide digital remotely accessed facilities management system that optimises use of funds and resources.
- Act as a point of escalation for relevant matters relating to facilities/asset maintenance and Minor Capital Works implementation within associated sites.
- Lead and manage the Maintenance planning and Minor capital Works delivery teams, providing direction to team members on all asset maintenance and Minor Capital works.
**The Individual**:
- 10 years professional experience in related fields.
- Tertiary qualifications in Asset/Construction maintenance or related discipline.
- Competent working with a range of specialist software packages such as Microsoft Office (for reports, presentations and budget control); and project management software to assist in tracking project delivery and TechnologyOne.
