Credit Leadership Role
We are seeking an experienced Credit Controller Team Leader to drive our team's success at a professional services firm.
This pivotal role involves managing all aspects of the credit function, refining credit policies and procedures, and overseeing a ledger. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Credit Control Team and Business Performance Managers to contribute to debtor reduction and collection efforts.
* Leading a team of Credit Controllers, providing strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring.
* Reviewing processes and policies to implement improvements in conjunction with the Senior Business Performance Manager.
* Collaborating with the Business Performance Manager to enforce National Credit Policy and ensure compliance.
* Oversight of outstanding debtors and continuous improvement of debtor collection processes.
* Engaging with partners, managers, and external clients to achieve monthly collection targets.
* Preparing timely and accurate reports for efficient debtor ledger management.
* Distributing invoices and statements via bulk email, managing exceptions.
* Effectively managing client disputes and repayment plans.
* Implementing credit control policies, including the 'Stop Work Policy' for debts exceeding 90 days.
* Adhering to National Credit Management policies, practices, and procedures.
The ideal candidate has prior experience in a similar position, preferably in a professional services setting. They should possess intrinsic motivation, a results-driven mindset, and effective time management skills. Additionally, they should have knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements, organisational skills, and the ability to work autonomously or collaboratively.
