It is responsible for operating three of Adelaide's most iconic venues: Adelaide Convention Centre (ACC); Adelaide Entertainment Centre (AEC); and Coopers Stadium (CS); in addition to functions and events at The Drive.
The Adelaide Entertainment Centre is seeking an enthusiastic Kitchen Attendant Team Leader to join our team. This hands-on role offers flexibility, variety, and the buzz of events, giving you the chance to lead a team that ensures our kitchen operations run seamlessly. Ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys collaborating with a team, and thrives on maintaining the highest hygiene standards.
The Role
You will play a key role in keeping kitchen operations efficient and spotless. You will support chefs by moving equipment and food across venues, lead and train staff, and ensure smooth operation of serveries during functions. You will monitor labour costs, maintain daily cost efficiencies, and assist with event setups and food service. The role includes supervising cleaning of crockery, cutlery, glassware, and kitchen equipment, ensuring high hygiene standards, proper use of detergents, and effective waste management. You will also inspect cleaned items for quality and maintain compliance with ISO 22000 Food Safety Management System.
What We're Looking For:
* Supervisory experience in large-scale kitchens, stewarding, mining, or healthcare kitchens
* Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and public holidays, across a 24/7 roster
* Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
* Excellent leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure
