About the Role
Our Emerald Service Team is seeking two to three Conveyor Technicians / Trade Assistants to carry out underground conveyor belt work, as well as operate and maintain underground machinery. This role is primarily based at Kestrel Mine, working three days per week, with an additional day at an alternate site as required.
You will work a 4/3 roster from Monday to Thursday, becoming part of a results-driven, family-oriented, and committed team.
Key Duties
* Complete belt retractions
* Install belts into LTUs for panel advances
* Perform roller maintenance from Coffin Seal to drive head
* Carry out cleaner maintenance from Coffin Seal to drive head
* Conduct belt mapping of MG and development belts
What we're looking for
* Basic knowledge of conveyor products and components, with general conveyor maintenance experience
* Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements
* Experience operating mechanical conveyor belt handling equipment
* Valid Light Vehicle licence (required)
* Underground LHD (Loader) and Driftrunner tickets (preferred)
* Current Australian Driver's Licence
* QLD Coal Board Medical, or the ability to successfully obtain one (company funded)
* Certificate II or III in Polymer Processing (desirable but not essential)
* Candidates with extensive experience are encouraged to apply, with the opportunity to formalise skills through our registered RTO
