The Opportunity
We're seeking experienced
Senior and Principal Environmental Planners
with a proven track record in
renewable energy projects
.
As a Senior or Principal Environmental Planner, you will be a key member of our team from the outset, leading the growth of the team in this sector. You will manage challenging environmental approval projects from conception through to approval, implementation and construction, supported by an experienced team that thrives on your success.
Initially you will assess environmental opportunities and constraints, conduct field investigations, perform planning and optioneering, contribute to project design, compile reports, discuss them with clients, and support them during implementation to bring your ideas to reality.
The ideal candidate will be able to work across renewable energy, infrastructure, resources and community development projects, guiding projects from concept through to approvals and delivery while ensuring technical excellence, regulatory compliance, and positive client and stakeholder outcomes.
About You
10+ years' experience in environmental, planning or a related field, with significant exposure to renewable energy projects.
Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
Strong understanding of approval processes for wind, solar and large-scale energy infrastructure.
Excellent project management, stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
Willingness to share knowledge and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to provide insights into project environmental risks and opportunities.
Leadership qualities with the ability to guide junior staff and contribute to business growth.
Previous exposure to a GIS package (we use QGIS) will allow you to bring your ideas to life and incorporate them into reports.
Proficiency with the MS Office suite to support efficient work practices.
