This is a major enterprise environment with a lot of new technology projects in the pipeline. This opportunity is for a long term contractor to step in as an IAM architecture to take the lead on key projects, setting strategy and designing solutions in a modern tech environment.
As an IAM architect, you'll be jumping between projects - some are major enterprise-wide initiatives, others are smaller but critical business needs.
One day you're designing an integration pattern for a new SailPoint workflow, the next you're in a workshop with stakeholders figuring out access models for a new platform launch.
The engineering teams look to you for direction. They'll pull you into technical conversations when they hit a blocker, or need your take on how to approach something in Azure AD or GCP. You're reviewing their designs, unblocking decisions, and making sure what they're building actually solves the problem.
Project teams need you to translate what's technically possible into what makes sense for the business. You're the person who can sit with a program manager and explain why their timeline needs adjusting, or why a certain approach will create risk down the track.
You're working with a strong security team - people who know their stuff - so there's none of that painful explaining-basics-to-leadership etc. They get it. You're there to help them deliver faster and smarter.
The tech you'll be working with:
* SailPoint (IIQ or IdentityNow) - this is core, you'll be deep in it
* Azure AD/Entra ID - designing patterns, integrations, governance models
* CyberArk for privileged access architecture
* GCP environments (nice to have, not essential)
What you need to have done before:
* 3-5 years as an IAM Architect in enterprise environments
* Led IAM architecture across multiple projects simultaneously
* Worked hands-on with SailPoint and Azure AD at scale
* Provided technical leadership to engineering teams
* Dealt with complex stakeholder environments where you're influencing, not dictating
