An excellent opportunity to work within a growing business and be part of the Equans Electrical and Communications team.
Located in Silverwater, the successful applicant will hold an Electrical Engineering degree and have at least 5 years’ experience working in the construction industry.
There is an expectation that successful candidate will come with connections to national builders and consulting organisations both commercial and industrial. They must have willingness to build new connections across commercial and industrial national builders in other states and territories outside of Sydney where the role will be based.
This role will include travel interstate every couple of months for at most 3-4 days.

What You Will Be Doing
* Construction Projects: Designs, manage compliance, develop specifications, support project teams, provide input, oversee commissioning, and ensure compliance with standards.
* Operations: Advise on failures and upgrades, contribute to communications, and ensure smooth operation of electrical systems.
* General: Provide engineering advice, facilitate decision-making, develop tender documents, maintain relationships, and enhance technical standards and procedures.
* Provide technical advice to management, staff, contractors and clients nationally.
* Providing technical leadership within the electrical team.
* Design, develop, and oversee the implementation of complex electrical systems for a variety of projects.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure projects meet technical requirements, budgets, and deadlines.
* Assist with the Company’s compliance within Australian standards and implementing and maintaining quality management assurances.
* Assist in the preparation of tenders, proposals and submissions.
* Work with customers and builders to secure sales revenue growth.
* Educate train and mentor others as the role grows.

What You Need
* 5 years previous relevant electrical design experience, or equivalent.
* Project and Design Leadership / Management experience.
* Strong understanding of electrical principles, power systems, and control systems.
* Proven ability to design, analyse, and troubleshoot electrical systems.
* A strong understanding of the electrical industry and Australian standards requirements.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
* Commercial acumen and a focus on delivering successful project outcomes.
* Ability to work well within a team and autonomously.
Your Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering.
* Intermediate skills in electrical design software.
* Strong technical report and scope writing skills
