(Pro Rata) RN2C | Part time - 36HPW - Ongoing Acute/Mood Team | Southern Adelaide | Mental Health Role The Clinical Nurse undertakes clinical care coordination as part of the multi-disciplinary team within the Specialist Community Mental Health Service. The Clinical Nurse is responsible for the delivery of a range of clinical activities, including mental health and psychosocial assessments, risk assessments, treatment and care planning, therapeutic interventions, advocacy and liaison with other community service providers. About the role: Reporting to the Team Manager, some of your duties for the role will include: Participate in clinical teaching, overseeing learning experience, and goal setting for students, new staff and staff with less experience Act as a resource person within an area based on knowledge, experience and skills Provide direct person centred nursing/midwifery care and/or individual case management to patients/clients on a shift by shift basis in a defined clinical area with increasing autonomy over time Required to contribute to a wider or external team working on complex or organisation wide projects such as clinical protocols, guidelines and/or process mapping Provide health promotion and education, to patients/clients or groups and carers to improve the health outcomes of individual About you: Must be enrolled in an approved mental health course or hold a qualification in mental health practice Effective communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team Registered Nurse/Midwife with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience (Clinical Nurse) Experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses and less experienced registered nurses Please see the attached Role Description for additional information.
