Rehabilitation Specialist

As a key member of a multidisciplinary team, you will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to support clients in their recovery journey.
* Apply clinical reasoning skills to assess and develop effective rehabilitation plans for clients with diverse needs.
* Collaborate with stakeholders, including employees, employers, medical specialists, and allied health professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
* Develop and implement functional capacity evaluations to determine clients' abilities and create tailored rehabilitation programs.
* Provide education and support to clients and their families to promote independence and empower them to manage their conditions effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting Clients
Assess and develop rehabilitation plans to cater to the diverse needs of clients with physical and/or psychological injuries.
Collaborate with clients and their families to understand their goals, needs, and expectations.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance client engagement, motivation, and participation in the rehabilitation process.
Team Collaboration
Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and psychologists, to provide comprehensive care and support.
Share knowledge, expertise, and best practices to optimize client outcomes and improve service delivery.
Engage in regular communication and consultation with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and minimize duplication of services.
Education and Support
Provide education and training to clients and their families to promote self-management, independence, and empowerment.
Offer individualized support and guidance to help clients navigate their rehabilitation journey and achieve their goals.
Encourage and support clients to participate in recreational activities, social events, and community programs to enhance their overall well-being and quality of life.
Professional Requirements
Hold current registration or eligibility for membership with relevant industry bodies (e.g., AHPRA, ESSA).
Possess tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, or Nursing.
Have strong clinical reasoning and ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams.
Demonstrate passion to help people rehabilitate and proven ability to work autonomously.
