***Our Journey**:
Support Services is responsible for the provision of non-clinical services that includes food services, patient support, porters, cleaning, linen, pest control, central production kitchen, waste management, car parking, hygiene services and some retail services.
The General Services department at Casey Hospital requires an experienced Environmental Services Assistant to work as part of our team in the Emergency Modular Unit. We are looking for a flexible person who is keen to fill a permanent part time role with an opportunity to back fill additional shifts where available.
***Positions available**
**Thursday - Saturday 14.30 - 22.30**
**(45 hours per fortnight)**
***Sunday - Wednesday 14.30 - 22.30**
**(60 hours per fortnight)

**A Day in the Life**:
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Environmental cleaning
- Cleaning of floor surfaces
- Cleaning of stairwells, windows and other surfaces
- Bathroom and toilet cleaning

- Excellent verbal & written communication skills
- A commitment to delivering excellent customer service
- Holds a strong commitment to working effectively as part of a team
- Takes pride in your work with great attention to detail
- Has great time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks
- Flexibility to change shifts or cover staff leave at short notice
**What you need**:
- A high standard of demonstrated experience in customer services and cleaning in a healthcare environment
- A good understanding of infection control cleaning processes within a healthcare environment
- Ability to comprehend and follow written instructions and procedures
- Able to undertake physical work including lifting, carrying and manual handling
- Excellent understanding of cleaning methodologies and infection control procedures
- A strong commitment to working effectively as part of a team
