Are you interested in independent work helping and supporting people with a disability to have a good life? Let us introduce you to a 20-year-old active and chatting lady with autism. She loves to volunteer in her community at various locations like animal shelters and op shops, to name a couple.
The Role
The role is to assist this young lady with complex needs related to her Autism and has intellectual disability to her community activities and therapy sessions 1:1. Also, to help her reach her goals.
Hours
Monday-Sunday 8 am to 1 pm OR1pm to 6 pm this time could vary.
**Requirements**:
- Experience or exposure to working with people with autism is desirable
Criminal History Screen (or willing to obtain)
- First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain)
- Car and driver's licence
About You
As a relaxed person, you'd have a calm and confident approach to supporting people. Exposure to or experience working with people with autism would be beneficial but not essential. You will be driven by a strong desire to make a difference in the life of this young lady and be able to commit long-term. Your capacity to stay calm in difficult situations and maintain confidence when managing challenges are attributes that come naturally. Good communication skills are important in working with the family and the team.

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 - 25 per week
