We are seeking a skilled Baker / Pastry Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with laminated dough and is confident working with a pastry dough sheeter to produce consistent, high-quality baked goods.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, and desserts
* Operate and maintain a pastry dough sheeter for laminated and rolled dough
* Execute recipes accurately while maintaining consistency and quality
* Manage dough production, proofing, baking, and finishing
* Follow food safety, sanitation, and workplace standards
* Assist with daily prep, inventory, and kitchen organization
* Collaborate with the team to meet production goals and deadlines
Qualifications:
* Professional experience as a baker or pastry chef
* Proven experience using a pastry dough sheeter
* Knowledge of laminated dough (croissants, Danish, puff pastry, etc.)
* Strong attention to detail and time management skills
* Ability to work early mornings and stand for extended periods
* Culinary training is a plus, but not required with relevant experience
