Job Opportunity: Equity Markets Dealers Assistant (Mandarin Speaking) - Melbourne or SydneyLocation: Melbourne, SydneySector: Wealth ManagementContract Type: Contract or Temporary (initial 12-month contract)Our client, a leading global wealth management firm, is seeking an experienced Equity Markets Dealers Assistant who is fluent in Mandarin to join their team in Melbourne or Sydney on an initial 12-month contract.Key Responsibilities:Manage administrative client queries and facilitate client onboarding, including preparing account documentation and creating client records.Maintain client accounts and records in compliance with AML/CTF and KYC regulations.Handle IPOs, corporate actions, and assist with client asset transfers both domestically and internationally.Prepare client valuations, asset allocations, and reports.Process stock settlements and follow up on outstanding funds.Prioritize adviser requests in a fast-paced environment.Assist with logistics for client events and provide translation support for marketing materials.Establish relationships with internal stakeholders and participate in process improvement initiatives.Proactively communicate issues and solutions to clients and Financial Advisors.Ensure compliance with the company's code of conduct, policies, and regulatory requirements.Optional: Understand US and UK tax forms (W8BEN, CRS) and client consent forms (FOFA).Required Skills and Qualifications:High attention to detail, strong literacy and numeracy skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Strong organizational and communication skills, both verbal and written.Fluency in written and spoken Mandarin and English.Knowledge of financial advice processes, markets, and industry trends.Resilience, ability to prioritize, goal-oriented, and proactive initiative.Preferred Qualifications:Tertiary qualification in Finance, Business, or Economics.RG146 certification (studying towards if not held).Experience in wealth management, stockbroking, or financial planning.Knowledge of broking platforms and portfolio management systems (e.g., Praemium) is advantageous.Client Service Manager experience is a plus but not mandatory.Compensation: Approximately $370 – $400 per day plus superannuation, depending on experience.
