Job Responsibilities
* Perform clinical duties within your level of clinical competency, adhering to best available evidence.
* Explain procedures to patients, ensuring consent and providing support and reassurance.
* Triage, immunizations, wound management, chronic disease management, health assessments, ECGs, spirometry, and collection of pathology samples are just some of the key responsibilities of this role.
* Assist doctors with patient care and clinical procedures.
* Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A minimum of one year's nursing experience, preferably in a community-based role.
* Experience in similar roles as practice nurse or community-based nursing is highly beneficial.
* Demonstrated understanding of general practice needs and interest in community-based nursing, including patient education, health promotion, and lowering patient risk outcomes.
* Knowledge of current immunization schedules, diabetes management, asthma management, enhanced primary care items, infection control, CPR, and emergency resuscitation techniques.
* Sound planning and organizational skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including knowledge of relevant health-related information systems.
