About This Opportunity We’re seeking to appoint two short-term (3 month) Health, Safety and Wellness Managers to join the Health, Safety and Wellness team in the Faculty of Science. These roles provide an excellent opportunity to gain further experience undertaking workplace inspections and driving safety culture improvements while reducing risk for UQ personnel. In this role, you will assist in implementing UQ’s HSW Strategy 2022–2026 by undertaking workplace health and safety inspections and facilitating completion of identified corrective actions. About You You’re a confident communicator and strategic thinker with: Postgraduate qualifications in occupational health and safety or a related science discipline, or equivalent experience. Practical laboratory experience in biological/chemical research. Demonstrated experience using UQ HSW management systems Strong knowledge of PC1/PC2, DAFF, and hazardous chemical legislation. High-level interpersonal and written communication skills. The successful candidates may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including right to work in Australia and a criminal check. Questions?
