Remuneration: $111,341 to $120,557 pa (HEW6), inclusive of $94,084 to $101,872 salary pa, 17% superannuation and 17.5% recreation leave loading. Location: Kelvin Grove (hybrid option available). Responsibilities
The Supplier Maintenance Officer delivers high quality, client focused customer service to QUT stakeholders on all aspects of supplier set up and accounts payable processing. This position undertakes complex supplier maintenance activities across multiple cost centres, ensuring advanced data validation, compliance with University procurement policy, procedures, relevant legislation, and strong internal controls to mitigate fraud and corruption risks. The role uses verification platforms and approved processes to collect and verify supplier information, investigate anomalies, and provide expert advice to stakeholders. The Supplier Maintenance Officer contributes to the development and continuous improvement of business processes and procedures and applies a high level of judgement in problem solving and decision making.
Qualifications
* Education, training and or relevant experience equivalent to the completion of a degree, with subsequent relevant experience in a supplier maintenance, accounts payable, or similar financial processing role within a large and complex organisation.
* Demonstrated experience using a large financial accounting system with advanced digital literacy in the MS Office suite, particularly Excel (databases and/or spreadsheets), including the ability to enter and maintain complex data with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a broad range of stakeholders, including providing clear guidance and training on processes, resolving issues, and ensuring timely completion of supplier maintenance requests.
* Demonstrated experience in a client-focused service environment, with excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to establish rapport quickly, maintain collaborative working relationships, and engage confidently with diverse internal and external client groups.
* Comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in processing and validating supplier information, including the use of verification platforms such as EFTSure, ABN look‐ups and bank account validation tools, and applying strong internal controls to mitigate fraud, error and corruption risks.
* Demonstrated experience and competency in finance processing, including account reconciliations, general ledger processes, GST and FBT, within a high?volume, high?compliance environment.
* Proven ability to work effectively as part of a team, multi‐task and manage competing priorities with limited supervision in a high‐pressure and time‐sensitive environment.
