In this role, you'll:
Be working on a range of small to large-scale projects within our Substations Team to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the substation high and low voltage distribution infrastructure. You'll carry out regular routine maintenance, inspections and corrective works in accordance with Technical Maintenance Plans, Operating Instructions and Engineering Standards.
Your work will have a direct impact our metropolitan and regional customers and connect communities.

About you
You're a motivated, innovative team player who respects others and your community. You're also a skilled tradesperson who wants to learn new skills, gain qualifications, progress your career and most importantly, are passionate about being involved in substation maintenance and construction across our rail network, of which we are very proud.
You hold a Certificate III or above in Electrical Distribution/ Electrical Trade Certificate and Contractors Licence along with experience working in a construction or maintenance environment. As well as having sound knowledge of the Australia and New Zealand "wiring rules" and are happy working at heights or in enclosed spaces but always accompanied by a dedicated team.
You hold a current full NSW Class C driver's licence and feel at home driving large vehicles and/or plant.
These are shift-based roles in a 24/7 environment, you will work as part of a team to support our network and as such will be required to work night shift, weekend work, overtime and on-call availability as well as living away from home if required.
