About the Role:
Job Description
This position will oversee the implementation of safety systems and procedures within the workplace to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. The successful candidate will provide operational support to the project management team, monitor compliance with safety policies and procedures, and conduct routine safety inspections and monitoring work areas.
Responsibilities
* Monitor and administer safety programs for project employees.
* Research and assist with the development of safety policies specific to the project.
* Conduct incident and accident investigations that may require litigation.
* Maintain knowledge of applicable legislative requirements including government regulations, standards and policies.
* Establish positive working relationships with project personnel and raise awareness of safety risks.
Requirements
To be successful in this key role, you must have a Diploma of Work Health and Safety or equivalent experience. You should also possess skills in safety management techniques and tools, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
