Test Lead (Cyber Security) $845 GST/Inc Super February 2026 until July 2026, with possible extension. Purpose The Test Lead is responsible for planning and coordinating all test activities for the Cyber Uplift Phase 3 programme. They will play a pivotal role in creating the overarching Test Strategy/Test Plans, overseeing the vendor test deliverables, preparing and coordinating User Acceptance Test (UAT), managing the defect triages, providing test progress updates and creating Test Summary Reports. Requirements Manage the timely completion of all test activities through appropriate test environments to ensure the implementation of requirements and acceptance testing needs are met in accordance with project expectations. This includes analysing requirements to develop test strategies and plans and identify and define User Acceptance Tests. Manage testing dependencies across various internal and vendor teams, including coordinating their test deliverables and testing timelines. Monitor and report on test progress and status, analyse test results, run defect triages and assist with issue resolution to ensure quality assurance across deliverables. This includes articulating key testing issues and risks and making recommendations or escalating as required. Provide expert advice to guide test estimations, breaking down or sizing testing tasks or plans. Adhere to the Commission’s testing processes and standards and ensure the use of appropriate tools and best practices to ensure testing services are provided with the optimal balance between testing efficiency, maintainability, cost, and risk acceptance Build relationships with stakeholders to provide advice on test lifecycle activities and build broader understanding of testing within the business Research and drive capability uplift in emerging testing technologies, specifically around cyber security, including the development of testing learning material, to support the development of streamlined ways of working across the testing function Lead and mentor and manage the distribution of work to Test Analysts within the team to deliver testing outcomes in a timely manner Provide a safe working environment and foster an organisational safety culture that actively supports and is consistent with the Commission’s work health and safety systems and processes. Actively contribute to agency-wide safety initiatives and plans. Skills and experience Demonstrated experience in leading testing for Cyber Security projects, including Essential 8. Minimum 5 years of experience in a Senior Test Analyst/Test Lead role, experienced across all phases of the test lifecycle, including working in Agile or Hybrid methodologies. Experience in coordinating vendor test deliverables and supporting business stakeholders with User Acceptance testing. Experience in creating and implementing Test Strategies, Test Plans and producing Test Progress and Summary Reports. Ability to articulate key issues and risks and escalate as required. Experience in writing high quality Test cases using advanced testing techniques. Experience in managing work distribution for the test team, leading and mentoring Test Analysts Demonstrated understanding of testing principles, methodologies, and tools (such as JIRA, Zephyr, Scale) Testing certification with Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or Computer Science.
