- Attractive hourly pay rate of $67.13 to $72.96 plus super (the exact rate will be determined by the Hiring Manager based on experience and suitability)
- Work Location: 50 Wises Road, Buderim
- Working 38 hours, 5 days a week.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
As Senior Communications Advisors (AO5), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the public image and community engagement strategy for a major transport infrastructure project. Your responsibilities include developing and implementing communication plans, overseeing stakeholder engagement, and maintaining positive relationships with the community. Your expertise will help guide strategic communication efforts and ensure effective dissemination of information.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide advice on communication strategy, risk assessment, stakeholder engagement, and media management related to transport infrastructure projects.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with government agencies, project partners, contractors, community groups, and internal/external clients.
- Plan, develop, and manage communication activities and events.
- Ensure compliance with governance frameworks, policies, legislation, and standards.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Experience in strategic communication or community engagement in infrastructure projects, especially in transport or civil engineering sectors.
- Proven ability in community engagement, public relations, and media management.
- A degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or marketing is highly desirable.
- Certification in IAP2 Engagement or willingness to obtain it will be viewed favorably.
