As part of the engineering and design team, the outside plant designer will be engaged in the following activities:
- Access Optus live databases/systems like Helix, Mapblaster, SpatialWeb, U2000, Projen, etc. for service provisioning to Add, Modify or Decommissioning of service
- Need to design or data fill the Direct line, Multi-line, Voice and other IP-VPN products across the access types
- Prepares Field Inspection Reports and Land Access and Statutory Approvals documentation
- Ensure area plans, detailed designs and documentation created meets defined quality standards
- Ensure the timely delivery of customer service orders within the defined time lines
- Actively seek feedback from senior designers and provide recommendations on planning and design procedure improvement
- Assist the team in providing inputs for process improvement and optimise the design rules
**Requirements**:
- 4 to 5 years of experience in planning, design and detailed documentation of communications' OSP networks
- Understanding of networking concepts, IP addressing and Subnet Masking, Network Switches and Routers
- Networking certifications such as CCNA/CCNP are highly preferable
- Understanding of direct fiber access network that includes active and passive devices
- Understanding of aerial, underground and intra-building designs standards of NBN will be an added advantage
- Working experience on Optus database and systems such as Helix, Mapblaster, SpatialWeb, U2000, etc. is preferable
- Working experience on live spatial and non-spatial systems is highly preferable
- Knowledge of GIS related platforms, systems and tools such as MapInfo and AutoCAD Map
- Good command over technical writing and documentation skills

**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $66,000.00 per year
