**Your part in St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital team**
- Completing over 24,000 procedures annually, St Andrew's War Memorial Hospital is one of the leading surgical hospitals catering to complex cases in the country. As part of this busy department, you'll be responsible for accurate collection and input of patient operation details, liaising with Visiting Medical Officers rooms and operating theatres, and general secretarial support to the Bookings Department. You will be accountable for:
- Ensuring a high level of communication between theatres, wards, doctors and receptionists
- Scheduling accurate theatre allocations, factoring time allocations and procedural complexity
- Efficient and accurate collection and input of patient and theatre data in to the computer system
- Accurate and prompt data entry and record filing
- Maintaining patient confidentiality
**What makes a difference for us?**
- Exceptional communication and organisational skills, with an ability to prioritise your workload
- Willingness to be flexible and adapt within a fast paced, constantly changing environment
- Previous experience in bookings within a similar theatre environment
- Sound knowledge of medical terminology and medical surgical procedures
- Experience with medical systems, including Cerner, Operating Theatre Utilisation System or equivalent
