Job Title: Inventory Management Specialist
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Management Specialist to oversee the inventory of heavy-duty truck parts. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a balanced inventory, ensuring timely processing of orders, and providing exceptional customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them by analyzing sales, expenses, and inventory on a monthly basis.
* Prepares and administers an annual operating budget for the parts department, ensuring that all parts are properly tagged to recover full credit from the factory.
* Hires, trains, motivates, counsels, and monitors the performance of all parts department staff, including telemarketing efforts to keep in contact with customers.
* Maintains a professional appearance and adheres to federal, state, and local regulations affecting parts sales.
Key Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business administration, logistics, or a related field.
* 4 years of experience in parts management, preferably in the heavy-duty truck industry.
* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, as well as speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
* Must have a valid current state driver's license and a good driving record over the past 3 years.
