This role is a fully remote work from home role, however a Queensland location is perfect as there may be occasional travel to sites.
Roster Cycle: 6-week rotating schedule.
Working hours
Possible Daily Start Times (local / AEDT):
5:00 am – 1:00 pm (6:00 am – 2:00 pm AEDT)
8:00 am – 4:00 pm (9:00 am – 5:00 pm AEDT)
2:00 pm – 10:00 pm (3:00 pm – 11:00 pm AEDT)
On-Call & Weekend Work
One week every six, you will be on call on Saturday
During that same week, you will work Sunday 12:00 pm – 8:00 pm (11:00 am – 7:00 pm AEDT)
Friday of that week will be your rostered day off

Role Purpose and Responsibilities
As an Operations Coordinator in our Defence team, you'll support the Regional Leadership in managing workforce performance across sites in Southern Queensland, including Amberley, Oakey, and Cabarlah bases.
Provide administrative and coordination support to optimise workforce management and ensure operational effectiveness across the region.
This role requires the applicant to be an Australian Citizen due to security clearance requirements.
Assist with workforce management, leave approvals, and compliance.
Support payroll processes to ensure accurate rostered hours and resolve queries.
Optimize rosters and fill vacancies in collaboration with workforce teams.
Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.
Manage workforce data and provide reports to Operations and Regional Managers.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
To Be Successful In This Role, You'll Have
Strong organisational, time management, and data management skills.
Experience in handling complex administrative functions and 24/7 rostering in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to manage competing demands and meet deadlines with high-quality output.
Proficiency in MS Office and technologies like Power BI.
Experience in a clinical or defence environment (highly regarded but not required).
